The first Belgian non-alcoholic specialty beer from Belgium was brewed by the Halve Maan brewery. He is derived from their valggenschip the Brugse Zot. It has a nice bitterness and is slightly malty. A very cool and successful move by this frontrunner.

De Halve Maan is a family brewery in the heart of Bruges. A restart took place in 2005 and since then they have been making good progress with the Brugse Zot and Straffe Hendrik beers.
