Toast Brewing - Changing Tides was brought over from England especially for our Advent calendar. A lager with a touch of spice and citrus. Made with leftover bread, among other things, which you can taste in the flavor.
Toast Brewing - Changing Tides
More info
London-based Toast Brewing was founded in 2016 with one goal: reducing food waste. They started with a simple yet powerful idea: brewing beer using surplus bread that would normally end up in the bin. This bread replaces some of the barley malt, without compromising taste or quality. Each beer contains approximately one slice of salvaged bread. In this way, Toast conserves agricultural land, water, and energy, and reduces the CO₂ emissions normally associated with growing and malting grains.
What makes Toast special is that sustainability isn't a marketing ploy, but the very core of their existence. All profits go to charities committed to nature restoration, a fairer food system, and reducing waste. They also openly share their recipes and methods, enabling other brewers worldwide to do the same. The result: dozens of "toasted" collaborations and a growing international movement that transforms food waste into quality.
