SHO Brewery Безгрішне alcoholvrij bier ipa

Безгрішне (pronounced Bezhrishne , Ukrainian for "without sin") is the alcohol-free IPA from the Ukrainian craft brewery SHO Brewery IIIO. With only 0.4% alcohol, this beer combines the fresh drinkability of an alcohol-free beer with the pronounced hop character that IPA lovers seek.

On the nose, you find distinct hop aromas with notes of citrus and pine. The taste is light, refreshing, and dry, with a pleasant bitterness that lingers without becoming overpowering. According to the brewer, this was one of their most challenging projects, requiring countless test batches to achieve the desired result: a beer that truly tastes like an IPA, but without alcohol.

Among beer lovers, Безгрішне is appreciated for its authentic hop profile and remarkably mature taste experience for an alcohol-free beer. On Untappd, it achieves a rating of approximately 3.9 out of 5.

For those looking for a modern, hoppy non-alcoholic IPA with its own identity, Безгрішне is one of the most interesting non-alcoholic craft beers from Ukraine.

SHO Brewery is an independent craft brewery from Mykolaiv, a port city in southern Ukraine. The brewery was founded in 2017 by beer enthusiasts Dmytro Voloshchenko and Oleksiy Hubskyi with one clear ambition: to brew beers that evoke emotions. Their motto is therefore "We Brew Emotions" . Instead of strictly adhering to beer styles, SHO constantly pushes the boundaries with distinctive flavors, creative recipes, and experimental ingredients.

The brewery gained international renown through its innovative sours, IPAs, and other modern craft beers. During the Russian invasion, the team remained active in the heavily affected Mykolaiv. The brewery helped the local community, supported the city's defense, and continued producing beer despite extreme conditions. This made SHO not only a brewery but also a symbol of resilience and perseverance.

  • Where does the name IIIO come from?

On many cans and labels, you will see the IIIO logo alongside the name SHO. It looks like four separate characters, but is pronounced "ШО" (Sho) in the Cyrillic alphabet. The three vertical strokes together form the letter "Ш", while the last letter is the "О". The result is therefore simply the name of the brewery in a stylized form.

Moreover, the name "Sho" is a typical Ukrainian word often used colloquially as a variant of "what?". That is precisely why the brewery chose it: it is a word that is immediately recognizable to Ukrainians and emphasizes their regional identity. According to the brewery, the name had to show loud and clear from the start where they come from: the south of Ukraine.
