You won't expect it, but Batu is part of the Gulpener brewery. Gulpener is an independent family brewery since 1825. They brew their beers with water from their own springs, use hops from their own hop garden and the barley comes from farmers in the region. So this "old" brewery is well ahead of the curve in terms of sustainability.
