Vrij Spel is a refreshing low-alcohol Spelled Beer from the Egmond brewery, how could it be otherwise, Egmond (aan den Hoef). The word "Free" indicates the absence of alcohol, while "Spel" refers to the ancient wheat spelled, which has been around since 5,000 years BC and is still grown by Brouwerij Egmond according to organic principles. The flavor combination is malty and grainy, with a subtle, slightly sweet aftertaste.
