Cervesa Espiga is an independent craft brewery from Sant Llorenç d'Hortons, in the Catalan region of Penedès near Barcelona. The brewery was founded in 2012 by biologists Arnau Rovira and Teresa Galván, who returned to Catalonia with one goal after experience in the beer world of Germany and Denmark: to brew characterful, artisanal beers that combine quality and drinkability.
What started as a small 'gypsy brewery' has grown into one of the most respected craft breweries in Spain.
