In the small village of Reijmerstok, right next to Gulpen, Roger Wouters has been growing our hops since 1997. At the end of the summer, we all help him harvest them. With colleagues, friends, and family, we bring in the fragrant cones and take them to the brewery. Often, there are as many as 250 people at work, all volunteers. Afterwards, we celebrate. Our Hopfest has grown into a small festival, featuring beer lectures, a go-kart track, regional dishes, plenty of local and specialty beers, and a lively, swaying tent when the brass band visits. It is Limburg at its best; come and see for yourself.
